Normandale Community College

Project Summary

NEI Electric has assisted in the completion of two separate projects at Normandale Community College. The first was a two-phase renovation of the College Services Building. This was a 109,000 sq. ft. remodel of an occupied building that included a gut and remodel of administrations, student services, and classrooms. The second project involved a full remodel of the college's 65,000 sq. ft. of library buildings.

Medium Voltage Substations:

Replaced three medium voltage substations to enhance power reliability and efficiency for the facility.

Electrical Upgrades:

Upgraded branch panels to support modern electrical loads and future expansion needs.

Lighting Solutions:

Installed state-of-the-art lighting systems to improve energy efficiency and enhance the building’s functionality and aesthetics. Our prefabrication team problem-solved to create can light inserts to fit the metal slat ceilings.

Technology Integration:

Delivered fully equipped Zoom-enabled classrooms to support hybrid and remote learning capabilities.

Phased Approach:

Conducted a complete gut and remodel of administration offices, student services areas, and classrooms in two carefully planned phases, ensuring seamless transitions for occupants.
